Leading in High Heels (LIHH) a domestic and sexual violence service agency, to reach out and support domestic violence survivors and women of abuse in a successful community alliance. We want to empower marginalized populations including victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse by advocating and supporting them in pursuing entrepreneurship.
Survivors of domestic violence are often prohibited from working or have a spotty employment record as a result of the abuse they have suffered. Finding employment after they leave is challenging as a result. However, what survivors might lack on their resume they more than make up for in resilience and determination, both core skills to building a business.
Through this visionary project, domestic violence survivors can have doors opened and dreams realized. The healing power of economic opportunity can be transformative.
